Here are a few of our favorites…
Hugl Zweigelt Rose 2015, Austria
$8.99 750ml $86.30 case
Though foreign to most people (and hard to pronounce) we think the Austrian red varietal Zweigelt makes incredible juicy and aromatic reds and rosés. These wines are usually great values, and this one is no exception! The wine boasts plenty of fruity aromas, with red cherry, wild strawberry, and a touch of watermelon, which will make it a great pairing to tame the heat of spicy dishes or with fried chicken.
Zestos Rosado Garnacha 2015, Madrid, Spain
$8.99 750ml $86.30 case
An absolute crowd pleaser! Your next BBQ needs something fresh and fruity to start, and why not this value from central Spain, with great flavors of strawberry and raspberry? it is sure to cool your guests off.
Domaine des Corbillieres Rose 2015, Touraine, France
$13.99 750ml $134.30 case
The Loire is another great region for sleeper values, and this rosé made from 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Pineau d’Aunis is no exception. Crisp and mineral driven, this is definitely for the more refined rose and dry white palate. Great wine for sushi.
Charles Thomas Sainte Victoire Cotes de Provence 2015, Provence, France
$14.99 750ml $143.90 case
A classic expression of what Southern France has to offer. A blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Cinsault, the salmon colored cuveé is a beautiful, fresh, and lively rosé that gives up lots of wild strawberry and peach notes in its lightly textured, balanced and refreshing style. About as chuggable as they come yet with solid balance and a dry, clean finish.
Miraval Rose 2015, Provence, France
$26.99 750ml $259.21 case
Elegant, refined and delicate – no, we aren’t talking about Angelina Jolie – we are talking about her wine! Though it is owned by the hollywood giants known as Brangelina, the wines that they produce are not flashy, but polished and classic. The 2015 Miraval Rose has lovely mineral freshness with delicate aromas of citrus, red fruits, and white flowers. On the palate the terroir reveals a pretty balanced and elegant volume along with very nice tension bringing length. The bouquet of aromas is persistent, leading to a long lasting fruity finish with an undertone salty character. This price won’t last all summer so stock up now!
WARNING: THESE WINES ARE NOT SWEET. THEY ARE AROMATIC, FLAVORFUL, BALANCED AND REFRESHING! THEY ARE AFFORDABLE, PAIR-ABLE AND DRINKABLE! THEY ARE ROSÉS.
